Our client is recruiting an Assistant Restaurant Manager for their busy country estate restaurant & shop near Midhurst. This is an opportunity to develop your career and is a role suitable for someone with a management experience in a busy operation. The site is busy all year round and you will work the restaurant floor along with supervising a large team of junior staff.  The role is working day shifts five days from seven so weekends included. Occasional events will be held in the evening but are around 1 a month.  Due to the location you will need your own transport.

The Role -

• Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and shop
• Performing duties in the absence of the General manager
• Training and development of junior staff members
• Managing the restaurant and shop
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness on site
• Managing Stock Control levels
• Dealing with wide range of customers including young families

The Person - Assistant  Manager

• Outgoing and welcoming hospitality professional
• Stable work history showing progression
• Previous experience in a supervisory/management role
• Training experience an advantage
