Head Chef required for Busy Hotel & Restaurant in Welsh Border

Head Chef. Our client based in the Hay on Wye area of the Welsh Border  is recruiting a Head Chef for their busy Hotel & Restaurant.This is an opportunity to for an existing Head or an experienced Sous Chef who is looking for a new challenge in a hotel kitchen. The owners are looking for a Head Chef to develop and serve a modern, seasonal menu using fresh local meat & fish suppliers. You will work with support form a Group Executive Chef. Live is in available off site so you will need to drive.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management. This is a key role within the management team and you will need to be a good communicator with the General Manager and colleagues.

• Working as part of kitchen management team
• Preparing AA rosette level modern british seasonal menu
• Management of GP and stock control 
• Experience of running restaurant service
• Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and cleaning schedules

The Person

You will already be a Head or Sous Chef capable of running a busy kitchen at busy Hotel. You will also be able to manage a busy kitchen and work closely with the Execuitve Chef and Hotel management team.

• Strong Kitchen Manager as well as Chef
• Sound knowledge of running a 4* Hotel
• Excellent communicator
